Sad News:

On March 21, Sze Yat-Suk sent us an e-mail :

With our deepest sadness we inform you that our formal classmate Yam Po Lum passed away on March 17, 2004 in Toronto. The funeral services will be held as follows:

1. Visitation:

Friend viewing will be held from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m.on March 28, 2004.

2. Funeral Services:

Will be held on March 29, 2004. Visitation - 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Services: - 11:00 a.m. to 12:00

In memory of Yam Po Lum, Kong Se's alumni will send flowers and have a memorial article in the Chinese newspaper ( sharing expenses with Bowling Club ). The budget for these services is about C$2000. If any classmate wants to join in this arrangement, the cost for them is C$30. Classmates in Toronto will contribute for the remaining fumd. if there is any excess fund, it will be given to Yam's family for charity in his name.Please contact Tam Sai Ying in Hong Kong or see by Wednesday, March 23.

The Wedding of Cheung Sai-On's daughter, Charlene.( 8 June 2002 ):

Teacher Lam Sing-Chi and wife, Teacher Wong Kim-Fun ( Kim Wu ) and husband Y.C., 19 Kong Se classmates and 23 family members attended Charlene and Yat-Pui's wedding on 8 June 2002. The wedding ceremony was held at Yat-Pui's family residence in the afternoon. The Wedding party was held at Fairmont Hotel in San Jose, California. A total of 400+ guests attended the wedding. We all had a wonderful time.

30th-Year Reunion in Hong Kong:

Next Big Worldwide Kong Se gathering in 2002 ? :

We certainly had a great time in LA Reunion. Many classmates cannot wait for another 5 years for another big worldwide reunion. Many classmates propose to have our next Big worldwide reunion in one or two years. Li Shu-Shing proposed to host the next Big Reunion in Virginia, which has many beautiful scenery, and cruise to Carribean. Chan Kin-Yee proposed to host the next Big Reunin in Houston, home of the NASA space control center. Some classmates wish to have the future reunions in New York and Washington DC; Miami, Florida; Seattle, Washington;....

Congratulations to Pui Ching and the volley ball team, they won the Hong Kong High School Volley Ball Championship. After months of tough matches, Pui Ching finally won the Championship over 24 schools.

Chan Kwai Sim and her teammates, representing Hong Kong, participated in the Big Boat Series Race, one of the world famous sailboat races. It was held in San Francisco Bay in September, 1998. They won the 2nd place. Congratulations. The name of the boat is Beau Geste HKG1997. Chan Kwai Sim was standing at the rear of the sailboat. ( posted on October 11, 1998 )

We held our Kong Se's first Online Meeting over the Internet on September 26, 1998 (Saturday). The time was 9/26/98 22:00 Hong Kong time. ( 9/26/98 10:00 am U.S. EDT; 9/26/98 7:00 am U.S. Pacific time. )

Hong Kong Kong Se classmates gathered at Tin Man Sin's house in the evening of September 26, 1998, using computers to chat with other Kong Se classmates around the world.

We used our Chatroom, AOL's Instant Messenger and ICQ services to chat simultaneously with other classmates.

The Online meeting was exciting. We successfully connected classmates from Hong Kong, Los Ageles and San Francisco.

( Some classmates could not download the AOL's IM and ICQ in time for the meeting. )
