30th-Year Reunion in Los Angeles up-date ( as of 2 April 2001 ):

Los Angeles Kong Se classmates held a meeting on 16 March 2001 and have revised the LA Reunion program which will be held in LA:

1. 27 July 2001 ( Friday ): Dinner Party ( Tasty food at all hours )

-Time : early afternoon 'till " you drop "

-Place : at Wong Yuk-Ying's house in Hacienda Heights.

2. 28 July 2001 ( Saturday ) :

-Morning : Sleep / golf / tennis / swim / horse-back-riding at the hotel ( Industry Hills Sheraton Hotel )

-Noon : lunch to be confirmed: at Mang Tak Lun's house in Arcadia or at the hotel.

-Evening : Reunion Dinner Party at the Industry Hills Sheraton Hotel.

Hotel accommodation:

LA classmates realize that the reunion time is short and precious. Instead of wasting a lot of time on travelling within the city for different activities, they have picked the " Industry Hills Sheraton Hotel " for our lodging and the Big Reunion Party. It is a nice hotel with a lot of facilities. They have shuttle buses to the LA airports and to other places. It is also only 2 miles from Wong Yuk-Ying's house. Man Kong is working very hard on negotiating with the hotel for a better hotel rate. In order to secure a good group rate for you and for all of us, we need your help to contact Man Kong or us as soon as possible. Your early reply is deeply appreciated.

30th-Year Reunion schedule and questionnaire:

A: Reunion Schedule:

Dear classmates;

We are very happy to inform you that our 30th-Year Reunion schedule in Los Angeles this summer is in. In order to accommodate as many classmates as possible, our Reunion is divided into 3 sections. Classmates can choose the section/sections to fit their vacation time.

1st Section: July 24 (Tue) to 27 (Fri) : Las Vegas trip.

2nd Section: July 28 (Sat) : BBQ in the afternoon, BIG Reunion Party at night.

3rd Section: July 29 (Sun) to August 5 (Sun) : Mexico cruise ( LA-Puerto Vallarta-Mazatlan-Cabo San Lucas-LA)

The July 28th Reunion Party is the center piece of this Reunion. Any attending classmate should not miss it.

We encourage classmates to join us for the Mexico cruise so that we can have fun participating different activities together on board of the cruise ship.

Some of our classmates who do not have a long vacation for the Mexico cruise and some of our classmates who want to have more time to meet and to chat with their old classmates and good friends, we can gather together at the Las Vegas for a few days to dine, to chat and to tour the local attractions leisurely before the BIG Reunion Party.

Our main goal of this Reunion is to let our classmates and their family members have a wonderful summer vacation with their old friends.

B: 30th-Year Reunion schedule questionnaire:

Wong Yuk-Ying, Tin Mun-Sin, Cheung Sai-On, Tam Sai-Ying and the classmates in Los Ageles are working very hard to organize this Reunion.

Since there is not much time left to reserve the cabins and to lock on a good deal; we also need to make a detail plan, including booking hotels and transportation, we need your help to answer to our following questionnaire as soon as possible. If you plan to join the Mexico cruise, please respond to the questionnaire within 7 days.

We had a big gathering to welcome Ho Kar-Yin ( Fresno, CA ), Hui Wing-Tat ( San Francisco ), Wong Chak-Ki ( Vancouver, Canada ) and Yuen Cheong Yip ( Chicago ) on 28 December 2000.

We had 14 classmates and family members attended the Pui Ching Alumni Day dinner in Hong Kong on 23 December 2000. We were glad to have 2 overseas classmates, Wong Chak-Ki and Wong Chee-Hoi, made it to the function.

30th-Year Pearl Jubilee Reunion Schedule ( Year 2001 ):

Next year is the 30th year after we graduated from Pui Ching. It is always exciting to meet our high school buddies and our old friends. In order to let classmates have more opportunity gethering together, 2 places and 2 dates were chosen. 30th-Year Pearl Jubilee Reunion Committee:

On 9 July 2000, Hong Kong Kong Se classmates held a special meeting. The 30th-Year Pearl Jubilee Reunion Committee was formed. Since our 25th-Year Silver Jubilee Reunion was so successful, all the classmates voted to have all the committee members of the 25th-Year Silver Jubilee Reunion Committee to assume the same positions in the new 30th-Year Pearl Jubilee Reunion Committee. There are some new additions:

1. Wong Yuk-Ying will lead and form the local 30th-Year Pearl Reunion Committee in Los Angeles.

2. Tin Mun-Sin and Cheung Sai-On will plan all the Hong Kong activities. They also will coordinate with Wong Yuk-Ying for some of the activities in Los Angeles and the Mexican cruise.

3. Tin Mun-Sin is the Chief Correspondent and the Chief of Public Relations of the Kong Se30th-Year Reunion events.

Since there are many places we want to visit during our 30th-Year-Reunion, we cannot not do it all in one single year. Our Kong Se Se committee had decided to split it into 3 different places and at 3 different times:

The Silver Jubilee Reunion Book Committee had a meeting on May 21, 1998. They found quite a few classmates have not sent in their family photo and their personal essay. The Committee has scheduled to send the book to print in August 1998. They hope they can mail it out before Christmas.

Whoever has not sent in the photo and/or essay yet, please send it to Wang Ming Tai ( Joseph Wang ) at GPO 4213, Hong Kong, as soon as possible, no later than July 15, 1998. Thank you for your co-operation.

Some classmates find it difficult to write the personal essay. Actually, the personal essay could be:

- a short paragraph of your life experience after the high school graduation,

- or some experience you want to share,

- or thoughts you want to say,

- or poem you want to express, etc.
