Hi, this is WOO Shu Kwan. How are you? Sorry for not communicating with

you more often since the Reunion. I apologize, and I like to change that. I

have a suggestion that could bring us closer together: something that most of

us can do and it should be fun too, I hope.

All of us here have email addresses. So I suppose some of you do spend time

online. However, since most of us use different ISPs (Internet Service

Providers), we seldom run into each other on the Internet even when we happen

to be online at the same time. We couldn't "see" each other nor have a chance

to say "Hello".

We may be able to change that. We should be able to send typed Instant

Messages to each other in real time online one-to-one, just to spend a few

seconds to say Hello if we are really busy, or spend 3 to 4 minutes chatting

in real time online once in awhile when we are not too busy. Of course,

during leisurely moments, we can spend hours "talking" if we want to. We may

even be able to schedule a weekly or monthly time period so that most of us

around the world can log on at about the same time and have more chance to run

into each other.

AOL offers a free software download that enables Internet users to communicate

one-to-one in real time online regardless of the ISP or software that each

uses. Everybody can stay with their current ISPs and use this AOL free

software called Instant Messenger. Nobody who is not with AOL needs to join

AOL or pay AOL anything.

I consider AOL Instant Messenger for two reasons, besides the reason that I am

an AOL member and already know how to use this feature ;-). First, it seems

very easy to use; and second, it is completely FREE for an indefinite period

of time. Although AOL does reserve the right to start charging

non-AOL members a fee for using AOL Instant Messenger sometime in the future

with a 30 day notice, I doubt it will give such a notice anytime soon . If it does,

hopefully we will have enough time to find something else better and FREE by

then. (Some of us are looking into other software and service such as ICQ)

I have tried AOL Instant Messenger with other non-AOL Internet users and it

seems to work quite well. Therefore, I suggest it.

Please go to http://www.newaol.com/aim/friend.html

to download the FREE AOL software and get an AOL "screen name". You don't

need to join AOL at all and we will be able to say Hello or chat once in

awhile if we bump into each other online. (Current AOL members don't need to

download anything.)

You have to email our group (email address:_________ ) to let us know your AOL

screen name though. Unless the contrary is explicitly stated, your email

revealing your AOL screen name will also be deemed as your permission to allow

us to let other Kong Se classmates know your AOL screen name. However, we

prefer that you spell out such permission in your email.

You have the option to "turn off" the AOL Instant Messenger feature later on,

but hopefully you won't do that often.

Please spend some time to download and let us know the AOL screen name that

you choose to use. Hope to "see" you online soon. Many thanks.
