Dear classmates:
We are so happy that we have finally distributed the Silver Jubilee Class Reunion Book to classmates.
It was the joint effort of committee members, the sponsorship and the enthusiastic responses from the local and overseas classmates that is making it a precious memory Book for all of us.
In order to bring classmates closer together, the Class committee has decided to give the Book to any classmate who wants one FREE of charge with donation on voluntary basis only.
There are many classmates who did not participate in the reunion or did not submit their photos or essays for the Book. Even though their pictures are not there, we DO want them to have a copy of the Book. Please DO feel free to order and DO NOT feel obligated to pay for the Book.
We all know that the cost for printing the limited editions of this hard-cover Book is expensive. The original plan was to solicit advertisements to cover some of the cost. We later decided to exclude advertisement. The cost for printing these 350 reunion Books turned out much higher than the budgeted amount. This has caused deficiency in the printing fund. We have applied the general fund to cover the shortage.
Despite the shortfall, we are very happy that the decision to exclude advertisement has made it a very 'clean', 'non-commercialized' and priceless book to keep.
We are very appreciative that some of you have indicated wishes to donate money to the Class or paid for the Book. To give you some guidelines, the reunion participants paid HK$500 (US$65) in 1996 for the Book. You are welcome to donate any amount to the class. Your donations will first be applied towards the printing shortfall. Any overage will be put into the Kong Se general fund for future activities and publications.
To reduce the collection charges from bank, we would like you to send your checks to the following classmates. They will consolidate the donations and transfer it to the Hong Kong Se account later. You will receive receipt directly from our Hong Kong office.

We are all grateful that the Book has brought us closer together. Childhood memory is the dearest thing to keep and enjoy. As we are growing older, we are looking forward to more sharing of joys and happiness with each others.
We wish you a very healthy, happy and prosperous life.
With our warmest regards,
Kong Se Class of 1971 Committee
